Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared what happened in the Kupyansk area during the "Easter truce"

The Easter "truce" for the armed forces of the aggressor country, Russia, was in reality merely an attempt to regroup. In the Kupyansk direction, Russian artillery continued to work intensively on the frontline settlements and positions of Ukraine’s defenders. Reconnaissance and strike drones were also in the air.

This was reported by the commander of the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment "Achilles," Yuriy Fedorenko, in a broadcast on the "Espreso" TV channel. According to him, the aggressor does not give up on its intentions regarding its objectives in Ukraine.

In particular, during the Easter "truce" declared by the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, the enemy continued the movement of manpower and equipment with the aim of buildup at certain positions.

The Russian artillery continued to work intensively on settlements in the frontline areas and on the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. In the air, there were reconnaissance and tactical-level strike UAVs.

"We must understand that this Easter ’truce’ is nothing more than an attempt by the enemy to regroup," the military said.

According to him, Putin’s goal remains to talk about peace and truce, to buy time, to carry out its tasks regarding Ukraine, and at the same time to achieve the lifting of sanctions against Russia, which block the full deployment of battles against the Ukrainian state.

"Enemies in groups of two or three try to approach the frontline in order to build up and then regroup to try to push the Defence Forces out of positions in a sudden move. The enemy also attempted to bring up engineering equipment, speaking of its intentions to cross the Oskil River," Yuriy Fedorenko said.

He added that the logistics of the Russian Armed Forces made attempts to maximally replenish the ammunition for artillery and other centers, from which the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces are targeted.
