The committee will consider the bill on cryptocurrency taxation this Thursday, — Hetmantsev

The Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, announced that this Thursday a draft law on the taxation of income from cryptocurrency operations will be considered.

According to the initiative, citizens are offered to legalize their income from cryptoasset operations within one year by paying a preferential tax rate of only 5%. Importantly, it will not be necessary to confirm expenses on acquiring assets in the past, which significantly simplifies the declaration procedure.

«This is a window of opportunity for the market that will allow new revenue to be brought into the budget, and citizens to clear their digital assets from legal uncertainty», — emphasized Hetmantsev.
