In the occupied Donetsk region, Russians are preparing orphaned children for war against Ukraine, - CCD

«In the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Amvrosiivka by Russia, orphaned children are being trained in military affairs under the guidance of instructors from the «Warrior» center. Classes in tactical medicine, UAV operation, and basic military training are conducted by participants and veterans of the war against Ukraine. Orphaned children — one of the most vulnerable social groups — are effectively being prepared for participation in war, which goes beyond any ethical boundaries», the report states.

It is noted that the militarization of children in the context of armed conflict is not only morally unacceptable — it may be considered a violation of international humanitarian law, specifically the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit the involvement of children in armed conflicts.

Russia, emphasized the CCD, deliberately uses the boarding school system on occupied territories as a mechanism of ideological control, militarization, and preparation of a new generation for service in the army of the occupying state.
