Ukraine will lose its "trade visa-free regime" with the EU in June
From June 5, duty-free import of goods from Ukraine to the EU will be canceled. This benefit was introduced at the beginning of the war.
"I, together with my ministers, have started a campaign for the EU to get rid of the ATM mechanism (duty-free trade - Ed.), which opened free trade with Ukraine. We have achieved it – from June 5, this mechanism will cease its effect. We are returning to the pre-war situation concerning border rules," said Tusk.
He noted that Warsaw will protect its economic interests, even if they "contradict" those of Ukraine.
"I have no problem with this, as no one will be able to say that I am against Ukrainians, in the context of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict," Tusk added.
