Russian occupation forces are concentrating reserves near the state border in the Kharkiv direction. In particular, Ukrainian military personnel note an increase in the number of Russian personnel.
These maneuvers indicate the invaders’ preparation for assault actions. This was reported on the air of "Suspilne" by the chief of staff of the 13th brigade of operational assignment "Khartia," Andriy Pomahaybus.
According to him, Putin’s forces are trying to draw their personnel closer to the line of combat engagement to carry out assault operations. At the same time, the Ukrainian defender notes that the occupiers are failing to implement their plans.
"Overall, they are not succeeding. It is necessary to have surveillance on all the most dangerous directions for approaching our front line. The accumulation of personnel is happening closer to the state border, indicating attempts to draw in personnel, a clear preparation for active enemy assault actions," the military officer reported.
The defender also emphasized that during assault actions, the occupiers combine the use of artillery and unmanned systems. Meanwhile, in one direction, the enemy may engage infantry to distract attention on another section of the front where advancement is taking place.
Additionally, Pomahaybus spoke about the specifics of using FPV drones on fiber optics. According to him, the range of such UAVs for Russians can reach 15-30 kilometers.
"The main increase from their side is fiber-optic drones. This is a very relevant issue. We are taking countermeasures. The main advantage of these drones is that we cannot detect them with electronic warfare and suppress them. However, mechanisms to counter such drones do exist," the military officer said.
