The air defence forces shot down all X-101 missiles that the occupiers launched from the Tu-95MS

In total, the occupiers attacked with 364 air assault means, but Ukrainian defenders repelled the attack. This is reported by the Air Force.

On the night of May 26, the occupiers launched 9 air-based cruise missiles X-101 at the territory of Ukraine from strategic aviation aircraft Tu-95MS. The enemy traditionally launched from the area of the Saratov region.

However, Ukrainian defenders thwarted the enemy’s terrorist plans. Air defence forces destroyed all 9 X-101 missiles launched by the occupiers.

In addition, the occupiers attacked Ukraine with 355 Shahed-type kamikaze drones and various types of decoy UAVs. The enemy launched UAVs from 7 different directions.

Air defence forces countered the air assault for several hours and neutralized 288 UAVs:

• 233 – shot down by fire means,
• 55 – lost or suppressed by electronic warfare.

As a result of the enemy’s combined attack, Kharkiv region, Odesa region, Khmelnytskyi region, Cherkasy region, as well as Kyiv and the surrounding area, were affected.
