The Budget-2025 needs revision: there is not enough funding for the army, — the Ministry of Finance confirmed the deficit

The Minister of Finance confirmed that the state budget for 2025 lacks funds for the army, so it will be revised.

This was stated by Marchenko from the parliamentary tribune, according to MP Zheleznyak.

“We have found it necessary to make changes to the 2025 budget, and we plan to do so. Currently, the financing for the Armed Forces is insufficient due to many factors, so we will revise the budget in the near future,” Marchenko noted.

Zheleznyak does not specify whether the minister clarified the scale of the deficit and proposed ways to cover it. Previously, the deputy referred to the Ministry of Finance, reporting a shortfall of 400 billion UAH.

Let us recall, last year the deficit for the army was offset by raising taxes.
