Russia is using the new V2U AI strike drone in Sumy region - DIU

A new strike drone with artificial intelligence elements, V2U, has appeared in Russia, capable of autonomously detecting and selecting targets.

This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defenсe of Ukraine.

According to the DIU, this drone is actively used in the Sumy direction. It is equipped with a Chinese mini-computer Leetop A203, based on the American NVIDIA Jetson Orin platform. Most of the other components are also of Chinese origin.

V2U analyzes images from the camera and compares them with preloaded photos of the area. In addition, the device can be used as an FPV drone and controlled via a SIM card from one of the Ukrainian mobile operators.
