In "Reserve+" a function for online payment of fines with a 50% discount will soon be available
Soon the "Reserve+" app will feature a new function that will allow draft registrants to pay fines for violating military registration rules online with a 50% discount.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development, Digital Transformations, and Digitalization, Kateryna Chernohorenko, in an interview with Ukrainian Radio.
According to her, this innovation is part of a strategy for digitalizing citizen interaction with Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TRCs).
"Our strategic vision is to convert all interactions with TRCs into a digital, convenient form. All stages of interaction with the military system should be digitized—from registration to demobilization. This entire process should be transparent, understandable, and most importantly—controlled by the individual. This is what we are currently doing," explained Chernohorenko.
She noted that the implementation of online fine payments will be one of the main priorities in this direction.
"Right now, one of the biggest priorities in ’Reserve+’ is online fines. We have enacted a separate law, developed by the Ministry of Defence together with members of parliament, which allows fines to be paid through ’Reserve+’ with a 50% discount. It will work like this: a person who realizes they have violated military registration rules and has been notified about it via ’Reserve+’ can choose the option ’pay fine’ and do so not for 17,000 UAH, but for 8,500 UAH," she noted.
Chernohorenko remarked that this practice is not new—it has already been successfully applied for paying fines for traffic violations.
"In the near future, within 3-4 weeks, we will launch this function in ’Reserve+’. This is actually an anticipated feature. It will provide an opportunity to help those citizens who for various reasons cannot appear at TRCs, cannot quickly pay a fine, but want and understand that it is their duty to the state. So this will probably be the biggest release of the summer when we make this possible," she concluded.
