Russia has been ignoring the US proposal for a truce for 100 days, — Sybiha
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha, responding to statements by the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin regarding his alleged readiness for negotiations and desire to "end the war," reminded that Russia has been ignoring the U.S. proposal for a 30-day ceasefire for 100 days.
On his page on X, Sybiha clarified that Ukraine unconditionally accepted the U.S. peace proposal.
"It has been exactly 100 days since Ukraine unconditionally accepted the U.S. peace proposal to completely cease fire, end killings, and start a genuine peace process. It has been exactly 100 days since Russia rejected this basic first step towards peace," the message states.
He emphasized that all this time Russia has resorted to manipulation and intensified terror against Ukraine.
"Ukraine continues to remain committed to peace. Unfortunately, Russia continues to choose war, ignoring U.S. efforts to stop the killings. It is time to act now and force Russia to come to peace," Sybiha stated.
He noted that completing Russian aggression can only be achieved through "peace through strength," strengthening sanctions, and expanding opportunities for Ukraine.
