Russian officers are massively avoiding the war, hundreds of commanders have been moved to the rear, - DIU

This information, citing the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence, appeared in Telegram.

According to intelligence reports, more than 45% of officers of the Russian armed forces who are part of the reserve units of the southern military district of Russia have no legal grounds for service in the rear.

Documents signed by the Chief of Staff of the Southern Military District, Lieutenant General Mikhail Zusko, reveal facts of unjustified transfer of over 900 officers to rear units. Out of these, at least 200 were appointed despite the already full staffing levels of the units.

In addition, there are recorded cases of these officers leaving service voluntarily.

"The mass retreat from the front, formally arranged as a transfer to the rear, indicates demoralization and a crisis in the Russian command structure," the DIU reports.
