U.S. Attack on Iran: media revealed the means of strike, video emerged

The host of "Hannity," Sean Hannity, stated on Saturday evening that the American President Donald Trump gave him details about the US strikes on Iran.

According to the host, during the strikes on the Iranian nuclear facility in Fordow, the US used six bombs to destroy bunkers - each weighing 15 tons.

He also said that the bombs were dropped from American stealth bombers B-2.

Additionally, it is reported that 30 Tomahawk missiles launched from American submarines were used in the attacks on the facilities in Natanz and Isfahan.

The US used a bomb - "bunker buster"

The US used six B-2 bombers to drop 12 "bunker busting bombs" on the nuclear facility in Fordow, an American official told CNN. According to him, submarines also launched 30 cruise missiles on two other sites - Natanz and Isfahan.

Two anonymous sources familiar with the operation told CNN, that during strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, the United States used the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) GBU-57A.

According to the US Air Force fact sheet, the MOP is a 30,000-pound bomb with 6,000 pounds of explosives, designed to "reach and destroy adversaries’ weapons of mass destruction located in well-protected facilities."

It is also reported that this strike is the first known operational use of this bomb.

Notably, according to the publication, some US officials raised questions about whether the MOP could completely destroy Iran’s nuclear architecture, especially where enrichment facilities are located deep underground.

However, President Donald Trump, after the strikes, stated in his social media that the US "completed a very successful attack on three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan."

"All aircraft are now out of Iranian airspace," added Trump.

The MOP was believed to be the only munition capable of reaching deeply buried facilities, although there were doubts about whether a single munition could penetrate deep enough to reach them.
