The former commander of the 47th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Shyrshyn, considers the "remarks" from the General Staff to be unfair, as they are made for reasons that "do not correspond to reality." The military officer himself continues to await a decision after submitting his resignation report.

The commander of the 47th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Mahura," Oleksandr Shyrshyn, expressed his reaction to the decision of the General Staff of the Armed Forces regarding his statements about "stupid orders" from the leadership during operations. At the same time, Shyrshyn noted that the General Staff’s review issued him a "remark" that does not entail monetary penalties or demotion, he stated in an interview for Radio Svoboda.

At the same time, the former commander considers this form of punishment unfair. In his opinion, it is based on reasons that "do not correspond to reality."

"We had a conversation with the General Staff, where I voiced some of these issues. I don’t know what they will do with it because I have some doubts," said the military officer.

Shyrshyn notes that the reaction to his statement was mixed: some supported him, while others threatened the military officer. At the same time, he refused to comment on the figures regarding losses during the war when journalists asked him about losses due to "stupid tasks."

"But for me, every loss is painful. It is especially felt when you are a company commander when you know everyone personally, and I know what it is like. When you communicate with relatives. Try to explain to them why their husband, brother, son, father died. Especially when the task was of the level and quality we received," said the military officer.
