In Ukraine, there are no plans to lower the mobilization age, — Umyerov

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov stated that currently lowering the mobilization age is not being considered.

His statement came amid discussions about the possibility of conscripting 18-year-old citizens.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned that some Western partners associate the intensification of mobilization with the strengthening of sanctions against Russia.

Meanwhile, in the Verkhovna Rada, it was noted that the General Staff and the Ministry of Defence have already conducted calculations regarding the potential number of new recruits in case of lowering the mobilization age, but no such decisions have been made yet.
