In the city of Samar, Dnipropetrovsk region, June 28 and 29, 2025, have been declared Days of Mourning for those killed as a result of the Russian attack on June 27.

This was reported by the press center of the Samar City Council, referring to the order of the mayor Serhiy Ryeznik.

"In connection with the tragic events that occurred on June 27 as a result of the enemy missile attack on the city, June 28 and 29, 2025, have been declared days of mourning in the city of Samar. This decision was made to honor the memory of the peaceful residents of the community whose lives were cut short during the shelling," the statement reads.

It is noted that on the days of mourning in the city, state flags will be flown at half-mast, and all entertainment, festive, and cultural mass events will be canceled.

"Honor the memory of the deceased and light a candle as a sign of mourning. Our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and the injured. Samar remembers everyone we have lost. We stand together in grief, support, and common struggle for life and dignity. Eternal memory to the fallen," added the City Council.
