In Germany, a 16-year-old teenager confessed to the murder of a Ukrainian woman and her young daughter

In the German city of Dorsten, a 16-year-old teenager confessed to law enforcement officers to the murder of a woman from Ukraine and her child.

This was reported by the Essen prosecutor’s office and the Recklinghausen police.

On the previous day, June 29, the body of a 32-year-old woman and her one year and seven months old daughter were found on a forest path in Dorsten. The mother’s body was noticed by a passerby, who initially assumed she was sleeping. The child’s body was discovered in the nearby bushes, reports ntv.

Law enforcement officers indicate that both victims lived in this city. The media claims that the woman was Ukrainian.   

The results of the autopsy confirmed the police’s suspicion of a violent death. Meanwhile, the teenager, who also resides in Dorsten, turned himself in to the emergency services at the crime scene and admitted his involvement in it.

It remains unclear whether the teenager knew the victims.
