The Cabinet promised the IMF to increase taxes for Ukrainians.

This was stated by Member of Parliament from the "Holos" party, Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

“The Ministry of Finance has violated the law again. They were supposed to submit the Budget Declaration for 2026-2028 to the Verkhovna Rada within three days, but this was not done. However, the declaration was submitted to the IMF, and now you will understand why I insisted on its publication. In the text, we see that the government promised to raise taxes this year," the MP noted.

In particular, it refers to the promise to introduce taxation for platforms (the OLX tax) and an excise tax on sweet/carbonated drinks, as well as to enhance the tax debt collection system.
