Russians have breached the defence in Kamyanske in the Zaporizhzhya direction — DeepState

In the Zaporizhzhya direction, Russian forces broke through the defence of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the center of the village of Kamyanske.

This was reported by the analytical military project DeepState, which recorded the advance of the occupiers in this area.

It is noted that the situation around the settlement began to deteriorate last week. The enemy managed to break through the defensive lines in the center of the village and began attempts to advance to the northern and southwestern parts of Kamyanske.

Despite the fact that the concentration of enemy forces was detected in advance, this did not allow the Ukrainian military to prevent the breakthrough. According to Deep State, the Russians were actively searching for weak spots in the defence, attacking with small infantry groups. At the same time, there are reports of the possible involvement of territorial defence units in the defence, which were unable to hold their positions, as well as providing "inaccurate reports" to the command.

Analysts note that the strategic value of Kamyanske itself for the enemy is small — due to the complex terrain and active use of drones. At the same time, the actions of the Russian Federation may be part of a broader plan to reduce the distance to Zaporizhzhya, although it remains significant for the time being.
