A Chinese-made component was found in the "Shahed" drone shot down in Kyiv

After an intense missile attack by Russia on the night of July 5, a part of a Shahed-136/"Geran-2" combat drone, manufactured in China, was found in Kyiv.

This was announced by the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiha.

According to him, the component of the Russian-Iranian drone discovered had been recently delivered. He highlighted the irony of the situation: on the same night, a building of the Chinese Consulate General in Odesa was damaged due to Russian attacks.

Sybiha called this situation a vivid metaphor for how Russia is escalating the war, involving other countries—from North Korean troops to Iranian weapons and Chinese manufacturers.

“Security in Europe, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific region are closely interconnected. This is not a competition for attention. Counteracting Russian aggression in Europe directly contributes to strengthening security in other regions as well,” he stated.

Ukraine called on the United States and the international community to increase pressure on Russia and everyone who supports its military efforts.
