In the army, they punish for the truth, so commanders deceive for months about the real state of our positions,— Taras Chmut.

The head of the "Come Back Alive" fund noted that the fear of telling the truth is one of the main problems in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as it leads to dismissals, transfers to reserve battalions, career destruction, being sent to assault "positions," or criminal cases being opened.

"That’s why commanders claim for months that these are our positions. But they haven’t been ours for a long time. The next unit goes there, thinking they are occupying their fortifications, but in reality, they are already far behind enemy lines. They are destroyed there—and we lose people in vain," Chmut says.
