In July, Ukraine will receive long-range weapons funded by Germany
The Ukrainian side will receive the first long-range weapons, the production of which has been financed by Germany, as early as July.
This was stated by Bundeswehr General Christian Freuding in an interview with the TV channel ZDF.
The German General emphasized that Germany will support Ukraine by financing the supply of a large number of long-range weapons in hundreds of units.
According to Freuding, the current situation in Ukraine is "certainly tense militarily," with Russian armed forces "on the offensive for several weeks, if not months."
"We need weapon systems that are capable of penetrating deep into Russian territory and striking depots, command centers, airfields, and aircraft," he noted.
The first long-range weapon systems financed by Germany should be delivered by the end of July, the General revealed.
"And then there will be supplies in quantities counted in hundreds of units," he added.
Freuding noted that this will significantly strengthen Ukrainian air defense and Ukraine’s potential in the coming weeks and months.
