BES has halted a suspicious KCSA tender worth 160 million for crematorium repairs
Analysts of the capital’s BES discovered violations in the tender of one of the communal enterprises of the Kyiv City State Administration for 160 million hryvnias. In particular, the company that won the tender did not have the material and technical base or experience in performing similar works. In addition, the enterprise inflated the prices for repair materials by almost 30 million hryvnias.
This is stated in a message from the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine.
"Analysts of BES in Kyiv, during the monitoring of public procurements, discovered violations in a tender for 160 million UAH. It concerns the repair of the capital’s crematorium using funds allocated by one of the communal enterprises of the Kyiv City State Administration," the post noted.
According to them, during the analysis of the tender documentation, specialists identified a number of violations. In particular, the company that won the tender lacked the necessary material and technical base and employees with the appropriate qualifications and experience in performing similar works. In addition, the enterprise inflated the prices for repair materials by almost 30 million hryvnias.
"The Bureau’s analysts sent a recommendation letter to the customer’s address with the identified risks. As a result, the communal enterprise canceled the procurement procedure," added the BES.
