The government plans to attract $39 billion in external financing in 2025 — Svyrydenko
For 2025, the government has planned to obtain 39 billion dollars in external financing. Ukraine met 14 out of 16 Ukraine Facility indicators in the first quarter and expects to receive 12.5 billion euros from the EU under the support program in 2025.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko on a television broadcast.
"This year, as a government, we plan to attract 39 billion dollars in external financing. This concerns only the year 2025. Of course, we are working with partners to secure additional funding and be confident in 2026. Regarding August, all planned payments will be made on time," Svyrydenko stated.
She emphasized that the situation with external financing is "completely under control." "We, as a government, as a state, will fully fulfill all social obligations to Ukrainians," the head of the government declared.
Svyrydenko reminded that in 2025, under the EU support program Ukraine Facility, it is planned to provide Ukraine with assistance in the amount of 12.5 billion euros. To receive this assistance, Ukraine must meet certain indicators aimed at reforming different sectors. In the first quarter, according to the Prime Minister, 14 out of 16 planned indicators were met.
"The last indicator we addressed was related to the reform of ARMA. The President signed the law to meet this indicator. We, as a state, received 560 million dollars. This is a small example of how this system works," the Prime Minister noted.
According to her, two more indicators are at the final stage of completion. "One of them is the adoption in the second reading of the bill on decentralization. The other is the extension of the staff of the High Anti-Corruption Court. Currently, a competition is underway to select judges," Svyrydenko explained.
In addition, the government expects that the Verkhovna Rada at upcoming sessions will consider changes to the state budget, which will fully ensure the needs of the military.
"We plan to add over 400 billion hryvnias to finance the security and defense sector," the head of the government emphasized.
