Shmyhal: 8 billion hryvnias will be allocated for drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Separately, Ukraine is working with partners regarding the financing of the Drone Line project, stated the Minister of Defence.
The government is increasing investments in Ukrainian drones and strengthening the Defence Forces. This was noted by Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram.
According to him, 8 billion hryvnias will be reallocated to the needs of the military. Specifically, to the needs of the armed forces units involved in the Drone Line project and strengthening the unmanned systems in newly formed units.
"This will allow for urgent financing of the pressing needs of units such as Ptahy Madyara, K2, Raroh, Achilles, Nemesis, and Black Forest. They have demonstrated high effectiveness: just last month, 22,700 enemy targets were destroyed," Shmyhal writes.
Additionally, 1 billion hryvnias will be directed towards anti-drone protection of evacuation and logistics routes.
Separately, Ukraine is cooperating with partners on the financing of the Drone Line project.
"Within the framework of a bilateral agreement with the Netherlands, the procurement of drones from Ukrainian manufacturers is planned. Thanks to this instrument, the state-owned Oschadbank has already provided bank guarantees for contracts amounting to 837 million euros," the minister noted.
