Zelenskyy insists on a ceasefire before negotiations with Trump and Putin
Zelenskyy once again demanded a ceasefire before signing a peace agreement.
He stated that a ceasefire should be declared before the meeting with Trump and Putin.
"We first enter a bilateral format, and then a trilateral one. I believe that without agreements in the bilateral format and without any ceasefire regime, the trilateral format is almost impossible," — noted the president.
In his opinion, the conditions for a peace agreement should be developed during this truce.
Let us recall, Trump earlier supported Putin’s position, claiming that a truce should not be declared, but instead proceed directly to creating a full-fledged peace agreement. Hostilities will continue until it is signed.
Nevertheless, Zelenskyy apparently prefers to return to the old position: first a ceasefire, then negotiations.
