The head of the Kyiv region police, Anatoliy Shchadylo, owns a luxurious estate near Kyiv

The head of the Kyiv region police, Anatoliy Shchadylo, owns 50 hundred square meters of land near Kyiv, where a 250 sq.m. estate with a sauna, tennis court, and pier is located.

The property was built between 2014 and 2017. The start of construction coincided with the victory of the Euromaidan, when Shchyadylo held the position of deputy head of the Volyn region police under Oleksandr Tereshchuk.

According to the police officer’s declaration, three plots of land totaling almost 50 hundred square meters in the village of Protsiv near Kyiv were purchased by him at different times for a very favorable price of approximately 300 thousand hryvnias. Currently, buying an empty plot of land for construction in that area, with a size of 6 hundred square meters, for less than 20 thousand dollars is almost impossible.

The only possible explanation for the low cost of the land — its formal designation. These are lands designated for individual or collective gardening, and they are not intended for construction.

However, on Anatoliy Shchadylo’s land plots, we see a sauna, a pier, a guest house, a tennis court, a garage, and a private dock.

The plots began to appear in the ownership of the Shchadylo family from December 2013 to July 2014, during the height of the Revolution of Dignity. In early 2014, the foundation of the future estate was laid here. The estate and other structures were built over 2.5 years. By 2016-2017, the construction appeared to be completed. Thus, he had available funds to create all of this in a short period of time.

It is difficult to estimate how much Shchadylo spent on the estate at that time. Houses similar in size and finishing to Anatoliy Shchadylo’s estate are currently offered here for 10-15 million hryvnias.
