Germany completes the construction of a military railway for transferring equipment to Ukraine

Germany has practically completed the construction of a military railway for transporting heavy equipment and military personnel to the western regions of Ukraine, reports Der Tagesspiegel.

The railway route, created at the initiative of the German authorities, runs from the Baltic ports through Poland and a logistics center near Krakow, then proceeds to Western Ukraine. Its construction was a response to Kyiv’s requests to improve the efficiency of arms delivery.

According to the publication, regular deliveries are already being made via the new corridor, with the main transport operator being the German company Deutsche Bahn.
