The EU has declared a "colossal shortage of funds" for Ukraine

European Union countries are facing a "huge shortfall in funds to ensure financing for Ukraine."

This was stated by the EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas after the meeting of EU foreign ministers.

"Yes, it is indeed true: many ministers emphasized today that we are experiencing a huge shortfall in funds to ensure financing for Ukraine. However, we must also consider the obvious political reality: Belgium and some other EU countries are not ready to discuss the immediate confiscation of assets," she noted.

Kallas emphasized that in order to confiscate Russian assets that could cover Europe’s expenses for Ukraine, a "unanimous decision is needed."
