Prosecutor’s Office: Information regarding the connection between the murder of Farion and Parubiy is currently absent

As of 17:30 on August 30, in Lviv, the murderer of the People’s Deputy, former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, and activist Andriy Parubiy has not been apprehended. He was shot on Yefremova Street, and the deceased died on the spot from the received injuries.

During a briefing, the head of the regional prosecutor’s office, Mykola Meret, announced that there are currently no confirmations of any connection between the murder of Parubiy and the politician Iryna Farion. According to him, several directions of investigation have been opened, and initial search measures are being conducted.

Law enforcement emphasizes that the crime was meticulously planned. The perpetrator fired around eight times with a short-barreled firearm. The identity of the assailant has not yet been established. Police are already analyzing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses.
