The RF has redeployed marines near Pokrovsk and is attempting to encircle the city — AAF

The Russian leadership has deployed experienced marine units to the Pokrovsk area and is attempting to encircle the entire agglomeration.

This is reported by the 7th Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

«In recent weeks, the enemy has changed its tactics, trying to penetrate the city as deeply as possible in small groups or individually, avoiding combat contact with the forward positions of the Ukrainian defenders. The main goal of the enemy in Pokrovsk is to get as close as possible to the positions of drone operators or mortar crews, to try to weaken our defensive forces, secure new positions, and expand the boundaries of the "gray zone"», - the corps stated.

At the same time, the Russians intensified flank assaults using armored and motorized vehicles, attempting to cut off the 7th Corps’ logistics routes and encircle the Pokrovsk agglomeration.
