In Zaporizhzhya, two people were injured as a result of a drone attack
Russian military struck Zaporizhzhya on the evening of September 6. The city was attacked by enemy drones.
This was announced by the head of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov.
Tonight, on September 6, an air alert was declared in Zaporizhzhya region due to the threat of strike drone attacks. Citizens were urged to urgently move to shelters or safe places.
According to local authorities, several groups of enemy drones were moving towards different districts of the city, including Dniprovskyi, Zavodskyi, Oleksandrivskyi, and Voznesenivskyi. During the attack, air defence forces were active.
Around 19:19, the first explosions were heard, and shortly afterwards, repeated explosions. Between one and four drones were recorded over the city simultaneously.
The strikes resulted in fires. Local residents are urged to remain in protected areas until the alert is lifted.
According to Fedorov, at least 7 drones were directed at Zaporizhzhya by Russian military forces.
Fedorov announced that a woman was injured as a result of the enemy shelling of Zaporizhzhya.
"She has shrapnel wounds to the head. Doctors are providing all necessary assistance," explained the head of the Regional Military Administration.
The State Emergency Service reported that units rescued one person from the rubble. Initially, two other people were injured.
Residential buildings and a kindergarten were partially destroyed, and a fire covering an area of about 80 square meters broke out. Neighboring structures were damaged by debris.
