Former tax official Bambizov was arrested with the possibility of bail set at 119 million hryvnias

The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv granted the prosecutor’s request and imposed a preventive measure on the former tax official suspected of organizing a conversion center. The term of effect is until November 4.

Bambizov and his accomplices were notified of their suspicion of intentional tax evasion and legalization of funds obtained through criminal means (under part 3 of Article 212, part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Within the framework of this case, three more individuals who were involved in the scheme he developed were also charged.

They organized the operation of a conversion center through which enterprises evaded paying taxes. For this purpose, 14 fictitious importing companies and about 80 "transit" enterprises were created. The total amount of transactions conducted is over 1.5 billion hryvnias.
