The luxurious life during the war: investigation of the income of the mayor of Yaremche’s family
The mayor of Yaremche, Andriy Myronyak, is at the center of a high-profile journalistic investigation. Journalists documented mansions, a hotel, a sawmill, luxury cars, and pristine roads leading directly to the mayor’s house.
In the 2024 declaration, Myronyak reported over 20 million hryvnias in income from his wife and 545 thousand from his own salary. Immediately after the publication of the material, the mayor went on an overseas business trip—to Italy, where he had an official meeting with the leadership of the city of Soverato. However, the trip itself only heightened public interest in the sources of his family’s income and lifestyle during the war.
"Now, since the war started, revenues at the firm have significantly fallen," — the mayor of Yaremche, Andriy Myronyak, told the journalists of the ’Informator’.
According to him, current profits have decreased to 20 million hryvnias per year. At the same time, in previous years, the company he transferred to his wife was earning significantly more—up to 34, and sometimes even 50 million hryvnias annually.
The journalists’ investigation uncovered numerous facts indicating a clear connection of business assets to the family of the mayor.
Specifically, the family’s assets include a hotel, a sawmill, real estate, and expensive cars. The authors of the material concluded that the mayor has turned Yaremche into a mechanism for personal profit—the income reached over 20 million hryvnias.

During a site visit, journalists recorded not only expensive cars and striking examples of a luxurious life but also modern, high-quality roads. Notably, these roads lead directly to the mayor’s family estate.
The reason for the journalistic inquiry was Andriy Myronyak’s declaration for 2024. It declared over 20 million hryvnias in income from his wife, as well as 545 thousand hryvnias from his own salary.
Immediately after the journalists’ material was published, the mayor of Yaremche went on an overseas business trip— to Italy. In the city of Soverato, in the region of Calabria, a meeting took place between the mayor of this Italian city, Daniele Vacca, and Andriy Myronyak.
