Russia increased shelling of Ukraine in September: 5638 drones and 185 missiles

In September, Russia increased its attacks on Ukraine, launching 36% more long-range drones (5,638 units) and missiles (185) than in August.

This is reported by the daily updates of the Ukrainian Air Force, published by AFP.

Air defense managed to shoot down or intercept 87% of Russian drones and 68% of missiles.

Additionally, a record for the number of drones in a single night was set in September—810 units on the night of September 7.

On the other hand, the number of attacks in August was lower amid peace talks between the US and Russia.
