A terrible fire broke out near Kyiv: two young children and a man perished

On the night of October 5, a fire broke out in a residential building in the village of Protsiv. Rescuers extinguished the fire, but during the operation, they discovered the bodies of three deceased individuals.

This was reported by  the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kyiv region.

Today, October 5, at 02:42, a report of a fire in the village of Protsiv, Voronkiv territorial community, was received by the operational dispatch service of the Boryspil district.

Firefighters from the 23rd State Fire and Rescue Unit of the city of Boryspil, as well as units from the local fire departments of the villages of Voronkiv and Holovuriv, were dispatched to the specified address.

Upon arrival, the rescuers determined that a residential building was on fire, and according to neighbors, there was a possibility that children were inside.

"Unfortunately, during the extinguishing process, the bodies of two children born in 2018 and 2019, and a man born in 1988, were found. The fire was extinguished at 05:53," the rescuers reported.

Nine personnel and four units of equipment were involved at the scene.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
