IAEA: Repairs have begun on damaged power lines at the Zaporizhzhya NPP

At the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, after a four-week absence of power supply, repairs of damaged external power lines have begun.

This was stated by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi in a message from the Agency on social network X.

According to Grossi, this happened after the establishment of local ceasefire zones, which allowed repair work at the plant to continue.

«The restoration of external power supply is crucial for nuclear safety and security. Both sides have cooperated constructively with the IAEA to implement the complex repair plan,» the statement said.
