Budanov with DIU special forces spotted on the way to Pokrovsk, — Major Tkachuk

 The head of the Defence Intelligence (DIU) of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, is personally leading a landing operation of intelligence special units in the area of the city of Pokrovsk.

This information correlates with a statement made by Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Tkachuk, who reported that "Budanov with the DIU special forces was spotted on the way to Pokrovsk."

 According to Ukrainian media, citing sources in the Defence Forces, the operation is being directly managed by Kyrylo Budanov.

 The operation was launched to stabilize the situation in Pokrovsk and restore control over key logistical routes amid the intensification of Russian offensive actions in this direction.

GUR special units were deployed to areas of Pokrovsk, which Russia had previously declared "under control." Military intelligence aviation, including helicopters, is involved in the deployment.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously acknowledged the situation in Pokrovsk as difficult but assured that there is no encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the city.
