Reshuffles in the "Samruk-Kazyna" fund could end in favor of Akhmetzhan Yesymov or, on the contrary, create significant problems for his corrupt family scheme.

The actual theft of billions of tenge during dealings with ATF Bank may become the subject of an investigation by the new head of the fund. Naturally, when the process of clarifying the circumstances of the robbery begins, Halimzhan Yesenov might suffer first, dragging his father-in-law Akhmetzhan Yesymov down with him. As previously reported, it was precisely because of the fear of losing his multimillion-wealth that Akhmetzhan Yesymov divorced his daughter from schemer Yesenov. The latter has been buying foreign real estate for several months in a row in case he needs to urgently leave Kazakhstan. In addition to the ATF Bank case, Yesenov-Yesymov is suspected of being involved in the bankruptcy scheme of FC "Astana".

The close associates of Alisher Pirmetov, the head of the secretariat of the "Samruk-Kazyna" fund, still do not know who exactly will take the position of the new head of the fund, but there has been an understanding in recent days that the change in leadership should be expected very soon — in the second half of February.

The decision on the candidacy of the new head of the "Samruk-Kazyna" fund is made personally by Elbasy, who is the chairman of the management board of the joint-stock company "National Welfare Fund ’Samruk-Kazyna’". Previously, among those who could head the fund were: Elbasy’s son-in-law Timur Kulibayev and Almasadam Satkaliyev, who recently became related to Bolat Nazarbayev. It was also believed that Kanat Bozumbayev or Sauat Mynbayev could head the fund (the latter received a severe spinal injury under unclear circumstances, with representatives of the Eurasian Group Alexander Mashkevich and Patokh Shodiyev being the main suspects in staging the accident at the moment).
