Biden: AFU lost Avdiivka due to lack of ammunition as a result of Congressional inaction

US President Joe Biden said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost Avdiivka due to a lack of ammunition. He blamed the US Congress for this.

“The Ukrainian military was forced to withdraw from Avdiivka after Ukrainian soldiers had to ration ammunition due to dwindling supplies as a result of Congressional inaction, which led to Russia’s first notable successes in months,” the US president said following a telephone conversation with Zelenskyy.

Therefore, Biden called on Congress to quickly approve new aid to Kyiv.
