The Lviv Court of Appeal granted the defence’s motion. The former head of the UAF spent more than 8 months behind bars.

The Lviv Court of Appeal has granted a petition to release the former head of the Ukrainian Football Association and MP of the VIII convocation, Andriy Pavelko, journalist Ihor Burbas reported.

The football official has been behind bars for more than 8 months, since 16 June 2023.

Pavelko is suspected of embezzling money at the construction of a plant for the production of artificial turf for football fields. According to the investigation, the damage caused amounts to UAH 26 million.

Details of the court decision are currently unknown.
