NABU handed suspicion to the Minister of Agrarian Policy Solskyi

The current Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the former head of the Agrarian Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, was exposed for the seizure of state land worth 291 million UAH and an attempt to seize land for another 190 million UAH, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine reported on Tuesday, April 23.

NABU noted that he organized a criminal group, which included officials of the State Geocadastre bodies, as well as persons who controlled the activities of these bodies, the so-called curators.

“Participants in the scheme ensured the destruction of documents on the basis of which two state-owned enterprises in the Sumy region had the right to permanent use of land. Due to their absence, the regional State Geocadastre drew up an act on the unauthorized occupation of these areas,” the investigation statement says.

Subsequently, through controlled officials of the State Geocadastre department in the Sumy region, the plots were transferred into the ownership of predetermined citizens under the guise of exercising their right to free land. At the same time, NABU emphasizes that the condition for obtaining land ownership was the signing of an agreement on its lease to a private agricultural holding even before receipt.

As a result, thanks to the work carried out in 2017-2021. transactions, participants in the scheme took possession of 1,250 land plots with a total area of 2,493 hectares, the value of which, at the time of the crime, amounted to more than UAH 291 million.

They also tried to appropriate another 3,282 hectares of land worth about UAH 190 million, but the implementation of the scheme was thwarted by NABU and SAPO, which conducted searches and seized the plots.

The organizer of the scheme, the current minister, two curators of the State GeoCadastre bodies and the person who facilitated the commission of the crime were informed about the suspicion. The presentation of suspicions to other participants in the criminal scheme continues.

Anti-corruption authorities do not name the organizer of the scheme, but we are talking about the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, a former deputy from the Servant of the People and ex-chairman of the Agrarian Committee Nikolai Solsky. In particular, this was confirmed by Suspilne"s sources in law enforcement agencies.
