Ukrainian Armed Forces thwarted occupants’ plans in Kharkiv region

The plans of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the north of the Kharkiv region failed. According to the former press secretary of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, military expert Vladyslav Seleznyov, the enemy was aimed at success, but it did not turn out the way he wanted.

He announced this on air on the FREEDOM TV channel.

“In short, this is the collapse of Russian hopes,” said Vladyslav Seleznyov.

He emphasized that the Russians did not even think that something might not go according to their plan, when in early May they concentrated a 40,000-strong group of troops in the Belgorod region alone in order to be guaranteed to take control of Volchansk in the Kharkiv region and reach direct artillery range to the suburbs of Kharkiv.

In February 2022, an enemy group of 40,000 was able to reach almost the suburbs of Kyiv. Therefore, this time the occupiers believed that they would also be able to achieve a successful intervention on the territory of Ukraine, but “it did not turn out as the Russian generals planned.” Seleznyov noted that the hopes of the Russian Armed Forces were completely destroyed by the engineering fortifications created in advance in the Kharkiv region, the prompt transfer of additional resources and reserves of the Defence Forces and the first large-scale supplies of ammunition. As a result, the enemy is currently suffering losses in military equipment and personnel.

“The martyrology of Russian losses is growing. They are suffering huge losses in manpower, armored vehicles, and weapons. And not only those forces and means that are located on the territory of our country, and as part of preventive activities, the Ukrainian army has the ability to strike at the territory of the Russian Federation on depth of up to 100 kilometers,” he said and added that in fact, the territory of the Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions is in the affected area.
