Mobilization in Ukraine: employers can book 100% of workers

Some enterprises can reserve 50% of their military personnel from mobilization. However, the government has allowed one category to increase this number to 100%. The Ministry of Economy reported this in more detail.

Who can book 100% of their workers

According to changes to Cabinet Resolution No. 76, enterprises, institutions and organizations that are certified mine action operators can book all military-liable workers who carry out mine clearance.

According to Deputy Minister of Economy Ihor Bezkaravainyi, economic growth in Ukraine and food security in the world depend on mine clearance.

“Reservation of trained demining specialists who work on the staff of operators will create the necessary conditions for systematic work on demining territories,” he explained.

Thus, demining specialists from a certified operator who are part of the following groups are eligible for booking:

• non-technical and technical inspection;
• cleaning;
• inspections;
• quality control.

In particular, this applies to civilians who have undergone basic training, which will be sufficient to search for mines and explosive objects in the fields. They can be booked regardless of military specialty, age or military rank. Whereas the reservation will be canceled if the sapper does not carry out demining work within six months.
