SSU detained a group of provocateurs who wanted to seize the building of the Verkhovna Rada
The Security Service of Ukraine exposed a group of public “activists” who were preparing a series of provocations in Kyiv after Constitution Day on June 30.
According to the investigation, the group was led by the co-founder of a public organization that has been known for its anti-Ukrainian actions since 2015. Under the guise of holding a so-called “meeting,” the attackers planned to announce the “removal from power” of the current military-political leadership of Ukraine. Then they hoped to seize the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and block its work.
The perpetrators face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
