11-year-old girl goes missing in Lviv region: search has been on for four days

On 20 July, 11-year-old Solomiya Veklych went missing in the town of Rava-Ruska in the Lviv region. The child left home around 15:00 and has not returned.

Law enforcement officers continue to search for the child. This was reported by the communications department of the Lviv region police.

Her mother reported the girl’s disappearance to the police. The woman said that at 15.00 her daughter left the house and still has not returned.

Signs of the girl: thin build, does not speak, but hears. She was wearing a gray T-shirt and striped shorts.

The police, together with rescuers, border guards, and volunteers, are combing the forest and all nearby areas and interviewing people. Divers are also working. More than 500 people, specialists with modern quadcopters and dog handlers with service dogs, have been involved in the search for the missing girl. The search operation continues.

As reported by the central rescue diving service of the Lviv region, on July 23, divers examined two reservoirs and the bed of the Rata River in the village of Rata, Lviv region. No bodies were found.

In addition, on July 22, the Sarva search and rescue association noted that, at the request of the police, three canine teams went to search for the girl.
