Kyiv still wants to spend almost UAH 14 billion on metro construction

"Kyiv Metropoliten" has signed a contract with a new contractor for the construction of the metro to Vynohradar for 13.8 billion hryvnia.

The contractor company has committed to complete the project by December 30, 2026, subject to stable funding.

Let us recall that in December the metro terminated the contract with the previous contractor through the courts due to the failure to meet construction deadlines.

The new metro stations Mostytska and Prospekt Pravdy began to be built in 2019 and were promised to open in December 2021.
