The former head of the State GeoCadastre of Zhytomyr region is suspected of corruption
Despite legislation and court rulings in favor of the agricultural enterprise, the official terminated its right of permanent use of land plots with an area of almost 5 thousand hectares and canceled the registration of the corresponding state acts.
NABU and SAPO informed the former acting head of the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in the Zhytomyr region, Oleksandr Smolyanyuk, of suspicion of abuse of office and causing damage to the agricultural enterprise amounting to over 54 million hryvnias. This was reported by the NABU press service on Tuesday, October 8th.
It is noted that the suspect, contrary to current legislation and numerous court rulings in favor of the agricultural enterprise, terminated its right of permanent use of land plots with a total area of almost 5 thousand hectares and canceled the registration of the corresponding state acts.
At the same time, he attempted to transfer these land plots into the permanent use of another legal entity for farming purposes.
As a result, the agricultural enterprise incurred damages amounting to over 54 million hryvnias.
