The General Staff confirmed the strike on the occupiers’ oil depot in the Luhansk region

The Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out an attack on an oil depot near the city of Rovenky in the Luhansk region. There were fuel stocks stored that were supplied to the Russian army.

This was reported with reference to a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"This night, a strike was carried out on the fuel and lubricants depot in the area of the city of Rovenky in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region. This base stored oil and petroleum products, which were supplied, among other things, for the needs of the Russian army," the report states.

A fire was recorded at the oil depot. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that this oil depot had already been attacked by Ukrainian weapons previously.

The operation was carried out by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence in cooperation with other components of the Defence Forces.
