Ukraine received 20 more Marder IFVs from Rheinmetall
The German company Rheinmetall has delivered 20 more Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine.
This is reported on the company’s website.
"Rheinmetall has delivered an additional 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for defense against Russian military aggression," the statement says.
Thus, the total number of combat vehicles sent to Ukraine under the so-called circular exchange agreement will reach about 200 units. Of these, over a hundred are Marder 1A3 models.
In addition, Rheinmetall has supplied Ukraine with Marder infantry fighting vehicles and Leopard main battle tanks under the "circular exchange" agreement.
The latest batch of 20 Marder IFVs provided to Ukraine was ordered and funded by the German government.
The Marder combat vehicles sent to Ukraine are the 1A3 model, equipped with a modern laser rangefinder, which increases target accuracy on the battlefield. This device significantly enhances the vehicles’ ability to effectively counter enemy offensive actions, providing Ukrainian troops with an additional technological advantage.
Rheinmetall first received an order to supply these IFVs back in March 2023 and had already delivered 20 units for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at that time.
