Zelenskyy: Putin tests the West’s reaction to soldiers from North Korea
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is assessing the West’s reaction to deploying North Korean soldiers to Russia. If the reaction is weak, the contingent of North Koreans may be increased.
This was reported with reference to an interview with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for the South Korean TV channel KBS.
Zelenskyy noted that depending on the West’s reaction, the Kremlin leader will decide whether to increase the contingent of North Korean soldiers in Russia.
"Right now, he is like a sapper in a minefield. He is checking what will happen if this contingent is involved. And then, if the reaction is zero, he will increase the contingent," the head of state explained.
He emphasized that the involvement of 3,000 or 100,000 North Koreans in the war against Ukraine directly depends on the West’s reaction. In the case of a weak reaction, this will not just have a psychological impact on Ukraine, but a real impact.
"Because it will not just be a contingent, but two armies against one Ukrainian army," Zelenskyy added.
